Why positive control?

After days of labor work, I just found out that there is something wrong with the dNTPs or polymerase coz even the positive control didn’t work out!!! F*ck!!!

So why do people need positive control? To be simplest, that is for one to say “damned degradable xxx” where xxx could be whatever biological or chemical components!!
